Paradise FC International and Hard Rock are mourning the loss of their one-time Coach, Christopher Dick Furlounge, who died last week in his native Trinidad and Tobago.
He‘s said to have been responsible for revolutionizing the way the two teams played their game, particularly in the Premier League competition.
Paradise FC International was able to bounce back from a demotion in 2006 and Hard Rock climbed to the top of the football circuit winning three times in a row.
Paradise remembers Furlong as a brave and courageous force, interested in seeing humble young men in the game of football achieve their professional goals.
Furlong is said to have coached throughout the length and breadth of Grenada where he made an impact on player’s development.
His hall mark moment was when he led the Grenada national Under- 23 team to second place in the regional qualification for the Olympics, losing closely to Cuba in Havana in the 2006.
