Foreign Affairs Minister Says Efforts Are Being Made To Salvage Sunken Vessel

Foreign Affairs Minister Oliver Joseph tells Wee Fm news the Trinidad and Tobago Government along with its Coast Guard Service, is making every effort to salvage the Vincentian-flagged vessel “MV Fair Chance” which overturned on the North Coast of Trinidad Saturday.  

The vessel is said to have drifted into Venezuelan waters.  

The Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard confirmed that none of the five missing persons from the vessel had been seen or detected.   

Two of the seven-member crew were rescued and medically treated Saturday.  

Joseph says the Ministry of Foreign Affairs here in Grenada will continue to liaise with Trinidad and Tobago officials for updates on the resurgence of the vessel.
