Former Prime Minister, Tillman Thomas, is included in a batch of five grenadians on King Charles the third Birthday Honours list.
Tillman Thomas will be honoured for his contribution to services to Grenada with the Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire CBE.
The CBE is awarded to individuals for having a prominent role at the national level, or a leading role at the regional level.
The other individuals Messrs. Augustine Jeffery and Paul Phillip will receive the title of Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE)…Jeffery for service to Culture, and Phillip for his service to Sports.
The OBE is awarded to individuals who have made major contributions at a local level or whose work has gained a national profile.
Two individuals will be honoured with the title of MBE, the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.
They are Pasu-puleti Gita Kishore Kumar, for services in the field of Business, and Kimberlain Mills, for service to Culture.
An MBE is the third highest ranking Order of the British Empire award for an outstanding achievement or service to the community which has had a long-term, significant impact.
