Grenada’s former Parliamentary representative for the Parish of St. David from 1961- 1979 Lady Cynthia Gairy, will be laid to rest on Wednesday.
Lady Gairy passed away on Monday 29th January, in Atlanta, Georgia at the age of 94.
She was the wife of Sir Eric Matthew Gairy, Grenada’s first Prime Minister who is also referred to as the Father of Grenada’s Independence.
Lady Gairy left to mourn her daughters: Marcelle and Jennifer.
The funeral service for Lady Cynthia Gairy will be held at the St. David’s Roman Catholic Church at 1:00 PM this Wednesday entombment will be at the St. David’s Cemetery.
