The issue of the merger between the Grenada Cocoa Association (GCA) and the Grenada Co-operative Nutmeg Association (GCNA) is still on the priority listing for the Grenada of Government.

That’s according to Agriculture minister Peter David.

From dialogue with individual farmers and members of both associations, Minister David noted that while the merger seems to be a contentious one, the prospects looks good going forward.

Minister David says the committee to look at the merger has been reinstated to review the process that comprises of membership from the cocoa and nutmeg boards and the government.

He highlights what he believes to be issues hampering the finalization of the merger.
