THE POLLS ARE CLOSING OR soon to be closed in neighbouring Trinidad and Tobago in what’s estimated to have been a keenly contested general election today.

This is despite the rising numbers of the Coronavirus.

Voters are said to have turned out in their numbers, in several quarters patiently observing the 6-feet distancing which applies under Health Protocols to safeguard against the virus.

It was unusual territory at the polling stations.

41 seats in the country’s Legislature are up for grabs, with the major parties eyeing competition in the marginal seats.
