The  Grenada Football Association (GFA) is set to host an Under 14 Girls Festival at Victoria Park, a significant step towards forming a national team for upcoming competition. This festival aims to provide young female athletes an opportunity to showcase their talent and passion for football.

Scheduled for March 1, 2025, the festival invites girls born on or before January 1, 2012, to participate in a series of matches and skills assessments. The GFA is keen on identify players who will represent Grenada in future tournaments. This initiative not only aims to develop the sport at this level but also encourages female participation in football, a sport that has been gaining popularity among girls in the region.

“We want to ensure that young girls have the chance to pursue their dreams on the field,” said Carl
Lee, General Secretary of the GFA. “This festival is a wonderful opportunity for them to demonstrate
their abilities and potentially join the national team. We are excited to see the talent that Grenada has
to offer.”

St. Andrew is the first stop on this journey with other parishes scheduled for later dates.
