Christmas is right around the corner and everyone is getting ready to bring out the decorations and buy presents. During this festive time, The Grenada Hotel and Tourism Association (GHTA) is embarking on a Toy Drive initiative to spread Christmas cheer to hundreds of children in need.
With rising inflation and a looming global economic recession, many families may be unable to afford presents this year. GHTA will be collaborating with active community organizations and generous volunteers to host its inaugural GHTA Toy Drive.
From now until December 15th, the Association will be accepting donations at the GHTA office located on the 2nd floor of the Ocean House Building, Morne Rouge, St. George. GHTA welcomes community-wide support to make this initiative a success. Additionally, GHTA plans to supplement community efforts by contributing a large toy donation to the drive.
Ms. Arlene Friday, CEO of GHTA said, “The GHTA Toy Drive really means a lot to us. This magical time of year is an opportunity for all of us to spread joy and cheer to our children. GHTA is proud to donate to local communities with the goal of making the season brighter for children in need. Together, we can put smiles on the faces of hundreds of kids.”
Businesses and individuals are asked to deliver unwrapped toys for children ages 2-12 to the GHTA office from Monday- Friday between 9am-5pm. The GHTA encourages all to participate to make this Christmas a Christmas to remember.
