The Ministry of Agriculture and Lands, Fisheries and Co-operatives has announced the commencement of its Land Tenure regularization programme.
The Ministry says it affords a pathway to ownership with the provision of land titles for citizens who have been continuously occupying Government Crown lands for residential purposes for more than ten years; and those who have been granted crown lands and who may have paid or are currently paying for such lands over a period of years.
The notice by the Ministry identifies the programme as being important, considering residents of River Road, St. George and Bardia in St, David who are now occupying Crown Lands.
It says officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Lands, Fisheries and Cooperatives will be visiting the areas to gather the necessary information with the sole purpose of implementing the land Tenure regularization programme.
Residents in other areas, according to the release, will be notified, once work is completed in River Road and Bardia
