On Monday and Tuesday we told you about primary elections in New York where two Grenadian descendants were vying to be Judges in the civil Courts.
What we can tell you now is that only one was successful.
Bernadette Neckles won the poll in nthe county-wide Civil Court Judge race.
She defeated Edward King in the county-wide Civil Court Judge race.
Neckles, a Court Attorney Referee in Kings County Supreme Court, earned 72 percent to King’s 28 percent We here that Neckles received over 19,000 more votes than King.
The other Grenadian-American, Alice Nicholson, of Mt. Carmel, St. Andrew, who specializes in foreclosure law in the Brooklyn area, was the runner up, receiving about 23 percent of the vote, lost to Caroline Cohen, in the race to be judge in the 6th Municipal District Civil Court.
