Education Minister, David Andrew, updating the public on the state of negotiations concerning salary increases for staff and lecturers at TAMCC, says the Grenada Cabinet has responded favourably.
He was speaking at a News Conference, which sought to outline the Government being faultless on the issue of arriving at a new collective bargaining arrangement.
Andrew said discussion in this vein has been going along cordial and in good faith until caught by surprise.
Minister Andrew provided a breakdown of the measure, which, according to him, is the Governmentโs commitment to maintaining industrial peace.
Andrew expressed being hopeful that the Unions and the Council will work together to ensure that their end of the commitment is kept and thereโll be a new agreement in 2025, to be powered financially by the College.
He further discloses that the College has a financial model that is not sustainable at the moment.
