“THE COVID-19 pandemic continues to cast a long dark shadow over Grenada’s economic landscape.”

The view of Chairman of the Grenada Co-operative Bank Limited (GCBL) board of directors, Mr. Darryl Brathwaite.

But, despite that Co-op Bank was able to hold its head above water.

Brathwaite was speaking at the company’s end-of-year occasion today providing its annual report was presented.

He says Grenada’s economic recovery continues to be stymied by the slow rebound of the tourism sector, the spread of the COVID-19 Delta variant and a low vaccination uptake.

Brathwaite says maintaining high asset quality remains a primary focus for Co-op Bank.
