Grenada is said to have made considerable progress in executing priority areas under the United Nations Country Implementation Plan.
Becoming a signatory to the framework in January last year, Grenada has since completed 1 of its 17 sustainable development goals.
A review in this regard was held yesterday, with UN officials and stakeholders in the process.
The UN’s Country Coordination’s Officer for Grenada is Fiona Sandy.
There’s a great deal of optimism that with assistance from the UN, Grenada will be able to accelerate its implementation rate in achieving the sustainable development goals before the 2030-2035 deadlines.
With the many shocks along the way, Covid-19 etc., which was a somewhat stumbling block, as well as other economic factors, Senior Development Coordination Officer, Kenroy Roach, says what’s needed is swift action.
