Grenada Getting In Gear For Another Week-End Lockdown

Grenadians are reportedly preparing for another round of “no movement” days this week-end, from 5pm tomorrow to 5am Monday September 20

It gives preference only to persons who are venturing out to get tested or vaccinated as frontline workers and volunteers move into communities, in conducting their operations, aimed at reducing the further spread of the virus.

Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Shawn Charles.

He says COVID-19 is attacking communities and this is where health teams face up to the challenge and move on the attack.

Dr. Charles says the fact that Grenada has a high prevalence of chronic diseases is among risk factors that put them at a disadvantage in their fight against COVID-19, compounded by a low vaccination uptake.
