The Grenada Senate has approved a Supplementary Budgetary Estimate for the Government of Grenada to cover expenses for the rest of the year.
It comes after approval provided following debate on a similar substantive motion in the House of Representatives last Friday.
The Appropriation Bill in the Senate was piloted by the Leader of Government Business, Adrian Thomas, who made the case for 148 million, 990 thousand, 234 dollars.
Senator Thomas expresses great belief in the Government’s agenda, saying that the supplementary Budgetary estimates were found to be needed, following the Government’s mid-year review.
Senator Thomas highlighted the country’s 50th Independence golden jubilee anniversary as one that has attracted a significant amount of money with the celebration that’s being planned.
He says it’s going to be launched next month.
