In fulfilling one of its campaign promises, the NDC-led government is reported to be putting plans in place to implement a card system, whereby beneficiaries of the various government programmes will be able to access funding.
This, according to ICT Minister, Lennox Andrews, will eliminate the hassle of individuals having to line up for hours in elements of the weather to receive their monies.
With this in mind, he says the government will introduce a cashless system of payment.
Minister Andrews says the government is currently in talks with two financial institutions to make it a reality.
