The Grenada Government today passed legislation giving full effect to its tax amnesty policy.
The Tax Administration Amendment Bill 2023, merely amends the legislation of 2016, and empowers the Minister of Finance to waive interests, late fees or other penalties.
The Bill, piloted by the Leader of Government Business, Phillip Telesford, takes effect retroactively.
Leader of the Opposition, Dr. Keith Mitchell, noted while he has no problem supporting the policy, he advises caution.
The general view is for the Nation’s citizens to take advantage of the tax amnesty.
