The Minister of Finance is mandated to move a motion asking for approval to borrow one hundred million US dollars.

The money, the Government says, is for the purpose of financing the Climate Smart Infrastructure Project.

In view of this, it expresses its desire to enter into a loan Agreement with the Saudi Fund for Development for the purpose of financing the Project;

The Saudi Fund of the Saudi Arabian Government is said to be established to foster international economic development by providing financial and technical resources leveraging the strengths of the country to address the needs of the developing nations.

The Grenada motion in the House of Representatives tomorrow is to be supported by what’s considered as the Supplementary Appropriation bill, 2023.

The Supplementary Appropriation bill, 2023 is one of two pieces of Legislation to be presented in the House of Representatives when the members meet tomorrow.

The House of Representatives meeting begins 9 in the morning.
