The Government of Grenada is reported to have initiated a monetary donation drive to give Grenadians and interested persons at home and abroad an opportunity to help Cuba and Haiti, in the aftermath of hurricane Matthew.
NaDMA has released information that it has become necessary after receiving CDEMA’s situational report on the impact of the hurricane in the two countries.
And, after consultation with government officials, NaDMA has reactivated its Natural Disaster Relief Account.
Cuba and Haiti continue to suffer due to the severe impact from the passage of Hurricane Matthew, and, in offering assistance, the Caribbean Community has decided to make targeted relief interventions in the affected Member States.
The Grenada Government says it’s pleased to mobilize citizens for this much-needed effort to join forces to send money for the people of Haiti and Cuba to begin the process of recovery.
The public is encouraged to make their donations, as of today until November 30, 2016, to the Natural Disaster Relief Fund, an account at Grenada Cooperative Bank.
The Account number is 121004900.
