Grenada joined the rest of the World today in the 51st anniversary of the UN-designated World Earth Day.
Activities worldwide were held under the theme, “Restore Our Earth”โฆconsideration for planet earth especially in a time now faced with the coronavirus crisis.
This yearโs observance sought to galvanize Climate action focusing on natural processes and emerging green technologies, and innovative thinking that can restore the worldโs ecosystems.
The occasion has been used to draw attention to the whole picture of environmental degradation and the need for immediate action.
UN Secretary-General, Antรณnio Guterres, noted that โRecovery from the COVID-19 pandemic is a chance to set the World on a cleaner, greener, more sustainable path, calling for an end to the war on nature.
