“Fixing the ozone layer and reducing climate change”, is this year’s focus as Grenada joins in on the observance of World Ozone Day 2023.

World Ozone Day is considered to be highly influential as it signifies the importance of preserving the Ozon Layer, also encouraging individuals to understand the value of protecting the Ozone layer and how the layer is helpful for all living beings.

World Ozone Day 2023 is termed to be one of the important environmental concerns.

National Ozone Officer in the ministry of Climate Resilience, the Environment and Renewable Energy, Leslie Smith, speaks about the marquee event marking this year’s celebrations in Grenada.

Smith wants the nation to be more mindful of refrigeration and air conditioning, as it relates to the do’s and don’ts in a modern society.

He also highlighted future youth programmes to be undertaken by the ministry.
