It was World Youth Skills Day today and Grenada joined countries around the planet observing the occasion.

It’s a UN-designated event, which provides a unique opportunity for dialogue between young people, technical and vocational education and training (tvet) institutions, firms, employers’ and workers’ organizations, policymakers, and development partners.

Celebrations this year will surround the theme “’Re-imagining Youth Skills Post-pandemic’, which aims to celebrate the resilience and creativity of youth throughout the COVID-19 crisis.

Minister with responsibility for Youth Development, Kate Lewis, says in the Grenada context, the occasion is rather significant.
