Grenada must kick start Praedial Larceny enforcement!
That’s according to Agriculture Senator, Roderick St. Clair.
Recommending Praedial Larceny patrols with officers and wardens empowered to enforce the Praedial Larceny legislation, St. Clair suggests stringent measures of fines and imprisonment must be applied to violators of the law.
The Agricultural Senator also recommends that government vehicles laid up for want of a spare part, be immediately fixed and put to use.
Speaking to the negative impact on Grenada’s food security, St. Clair also recommends that the patrols, working with the police, conduct Praedial Larceny roadblock searches, similar to those for drugs and traffic offenses.
St. Clair also insists that all vendors must be registered so as to control the buying and selling of goods and to ensure such process is conducted legitimately.
He reiterates such actions will assure that the public local food supply is safe.
