Grenada’s senior Netballers are to play their fifth game this evening in the OECS/ECCB Championship.
So far they hold six points from 4 games, falling behind host St. Vincent and the Grenadines, on an unbeaten run.
Grenada lost to St. Vincent and the Grenadines 54-43 last evening.
It was a tough game and the Grenada team not realizing the hosts possessed a degree of toughness started in cool mode, enjoying the benefits of the first quarter period, three in the lead, 13-10.
In the second quarter despite St. Vincent and the Grenadines outscoring the play 10 – 9, Grenada still held on to the lead, this time by two, 22 – 20.
It was in the third quarter the Vincentians stepped up the pace.
The hosts made a fine recovery and Grenada seemed wilting losing out 32-36.
The Vincy heat was a little too hot and the hosts marshaled the final quarter 18-11, pulling away with the victory, 54-43.
With not much time to recuperate, checking out the pace at which games are scheduled, Grenada will be on court 7 this evening against Antigua/Barbuda for a second time.
