Grenada, will, tomorrow, join the United Nations and the rest of the World in observing International Day of Older Persons.

Focusing on pathways of coping with existing and preventing future old age inequality this year’s observance will be held under the international theme “The Journey to Age Equality”.

The theme will explore channels to cope with demographic and other societal and structural change and to change the narrative of “old Age”.

The day tomorrow is designated to be a special one for older persons and senior citizens around the world.

The occasion which has attracted interests of many NGO, Member States, academia and civil society, is co-organized by the NGO Committee on Ageing, New York and the UNDESA Programme on Ageing,.

It’s co-sponsored by the Permanent Mission of Argentina to the United Nations, in collaboration with the Group of Friends of Older Persons.
