Grenada is currently within the period of observing what’s known as 16 days of activism against gender-based violence.
This year’s activity is being held under the theme “UNITE! Invest to Prevent Violence Against Women and Girls”.
Commemorating the activity here, Grenada’s Minister for Social Development and Gender Affairs, Gloria Thomas, says despite continued focused-efforts, Gender Based Violence continues to affect the country.
She made an appeal for an all hands-on-deck approach to rid the society of this scourge.
Thomas says Gender Based Violence continues to be a public health concern and a human rights violation.
