Grenada will be able to meet the demand of Asphalt by the first quarter of 2022.
Thatβs according to Infrastructure Minister, Senator Norland Cox.
Asphalt, needed to complete road rehabilitation and other projects, is said to have been in short supply.
Cox has indicated that they have engaged at least 3 suppliers of the product.
He explains that projects due to commence this year will not be affected by the lack or shortage of asphalt, as thereβll be an ample supply for both government and private projects.
Minister Cox says thereβll be challenges as it relates to shipping and cost, but gave the assurance that the government is working to get it done.
