Grenada captured seven medals in the CARIFTA Track and field games in the Cayman Islands…1 Gold, 3 Silver and 3 Bronze Medals.
Kelsie Murrell Ross obtained gold in the Girls’ Under-20 Shot Put with a distance of 14.22 metres ; Silver for Johann Jeremiah, 18.53 metres in the Boys’ Under-20 Shot Put ; Silver for DeAndre Collins, 62 metres in the Boys’ Under-20 Javelin Throw ; and Silver for Cameron Thomas in the Boys’ Under-17 Javelin, with a distance of 57.44 metres.
Jamora Alves obtained bronze in the Girls’ Under-17 Shot Put, with a distance of 13.53 metres ; Bronze also for Jonair Thomas obtained bronze ending the Heptathlon on 4,730 points and Bronze for Kelsie Murrell Ross in the Girls’ Under-20 Discus with a hurl of 40.30 metres, setting a new National junior record.
