Grenada has received its 24,000 doses of the Astrazeneca COVID Vaccine, which has come through the COVAX facility, set up to ensure small island States get their fair share of vaccine supply, in their fight against the virus.
We had told you that the shipment which was supposed to arrive here last Wednesday was delayed due to flight problems.
Well, this shipment arrived here last Friday.

The Pan American Health Organization’s representative in Grenada, Fiona Anthony, was there among officials welcoming the shipment, which according to her is a hopeful in the war against the pandemic.
She says PAHO and the WHO is bent on eliminating any form of discrimination pertaining to the supply of vaccines.
Fiona Anthony mentions that PAHO is on top of its game as far as it concerns the health aspects of the hemisphere.

Grenada’s Health Minister, Nikolas Steele, sees the shipment of the vaccine to Grenada last Friday, on account of the CFOVAX Facility, as another milestone in the country’s fight against the virus.
Steele is saying that at this juncture, vaccination becomes the panacea in the country moving ahead.
