Five more of the Nation’s citizens die on account of complications associated with the Coronavirus. And, to date, the virus has accounted for a total of 43 lives.
Among them are a long-standing media practitioner, Michael Pascal (Mikey P) and RGPF Assistant Superintendent Byron Clyne.
The latest update show there’s been a whooping 290 new positive cases identified in the Ministry of Health’s widespread testing programme, bring the total active cases to 2,210, all of which are in self-isolation.
62 individuals are currently hospitalized.
The local confirmed cases since the virus was first identified here March last year has risen to 3, 030, of which 777 have recovered.
The Ministry of Health notes that some 352 individuals are in quarantine facilities.
