Sunday Is International Volunteer’s Day and the Grenada Red Cross Society here will join the International Federation of the Red Cross in celebration of the auspicious occasion.
The event, celebrated December 5 annually, is designed to raise awareness on the important role volunteers play in responding to challenges facing the World.
It’s an occasion when the more than thirteen million volunteers globally are commemorated providing an opportunity to celebrate their efforts, share their values, and promote their work among their communities, NGOs), UN agencies, government authorities and the private sector.
Here in Grenada the Red Cross Society has planned a number of activities in observance of International Volunteers Day.
