Prime Minister, Dr. the Rt. Hon. Keith Mitchell, says Grenada is now better positioned to implement new interventions to help in the fight against COVID-19.
Consideration is also being given to recovery efforts.
Dr. Mitchell yesterday was at a virtual ceremony where Grenada became a signatory to the 5-year UN Multi-country Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework, covering the period 2022 to 2026.
Dr. Mitchell explains there are two priority areas that sits well with the Grenada Government.
Dr. Mitchell sees the new development as one that will help Grenada to better assess issues that have been brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, providing opportunities for recovery.
The Grenadian leader sees the objectives of the UN Framework as one that’s in-keeping with the government’s 2035 Sustainable Development Agenda.
