With the hope of removing some of the major breeding grounds for mosquitoes, the Grenada Solid Waste Management Authority (GSWMA) today launched its island-wide Clean-up campaign.

The campaign will run from July 22 to 24 where homeowners are encouraged to dispose of all unwanted items including white goods, appliances, furniture, barrels, and damaged utensils.

The Media launch which took place this morning was addressed by the senior Public Relations Officer, Myrna Julien.

Julien says the Grenada Solid Waste Management Authority sees the initiative as very critical in this time.

Julien says the collection of white goods and bulky items, continues to be a major problem for the authority.
