Grenada will tomorrow observe World Water Day 2022 under the theme “Groundwater: Making the Invisible Visible”.
World Water Day held on March 22 every year since 1993, celebrates water and raises awareness of the 2 billion people living without access to safe water.
Here in Grenada the lone Water utility company NAWASA in keeping with this year’s theme says, ground water plays a significant role in serving the Grenadian public.
NAWASA’s Communication assistant Wendy Chateau was a guest on the ministry of health weekly program “the next chapter” where she spoke on the theme and the activities that will be held in observance of the day tomorrow.
Groundwater is invisible, but its impact is visible everywhere.
One of the Engineers at NAWASA Damani Bruno speaks of the process whereby water is extracted from the ground to the taps of their customers.
Bruno went on to explain how the company goes about identifying wells to begin the process.
