The Grenada Transport Commission has been formalized and will parade before the media at a News Conference tomorrow.
It was announced by Prime Minister, Dickon Mitchell, that the Transport Commission has the responsibility to tend to the many issues affecting the transportation sector.
The panel at the News conference will involve Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell, under whose Ministerial portfolio Transportation falls ; Alva Browne, Permanent Secretary with responsibility for Transportation, Alva Browne ; the CEO of the Grenada Transport Commission, David Bartholomew and Francis Paul, Chairman of the Grenada Transport Commission.
The news conference at the Parliament Building, Lower-Level Conference Room 10 in the morning.
Prime Minister Mitchell and his team will discuss plans for improving public transport utilization across the country.
At the last sitting of the House of Representative, Prime Minister Mitchell did hint about the setting up of the Commission and noted that the members will be introduced to the media, and to the public, on the whole.
It’s expected the management of the terminals will be the responsibility of the Transport Commission.
