Persons employed in Allied Health Professions (AHP) are required to register with the Grenada Allied Health Practitioners’ Council at a fee of 250 EC dollars.

This is a requirement being enforced as it relates to the Health Practitioner’s Act.

A sensitization workshop in this regard was held earlier this week, as it relates to obtaining certification, accreditation, registration and licensing under the Health Practitioners Act.

The workshop was held with practitioners in the Beauty and Wellness Industry.

Officials at the Grenada National Training Agency, the Grenada Allied Health Professionals’ Council and the Grenada National Accreditation Board engaged some of the nation’s Barbers, Hairdressers, Massage Therapists, Fitness Instructors, Nail Technicians, Make-up Artists, Cosmetologists, and Beauty Therapists.

Chairman of the Grenada Allied Health Council, Dr. Nicole Forte, told the participants about the need to get certified.
