Assistant Commissioner Of Police, Vannie Curwen, speaks about taking a proactive approach to understanding the cannabis industry, with the Cannabis Working Committee set out to draft a comprehensive policy to be presented to the Government by September.

ACP Curwen, a member of the Committee was among a panel in public discussion last night on the initiative, seen as a consultative measure.

It’s noted that the Grenada Government is actively working to develop a thorough approach to the cannabis industry, focusing on both medical and industrial uses of the plant.

ACP Curwen stated that with the implementation of the policy and with laws being enacted, the RGPF’s focus relative to cannabis could likely change, which is all-the-more important for a whole of society consultative approach.
