7 of the nation’s athletes on the weekend participated in the 2019 St. Vincent National Athletic Championship
Kyle Gibbson, Tyrone Jacob and Nathaniel Mark all representing South City Rising Stars did exceptionally well.
Kyle Gibbson won the 400m in a time of 50 secs flat and the 200m in 23.34 secs. .
Tyrone Jacob won the 1500m and finished 4th in the 5000m in 18.03.03 sec.
Nathaniel Mark won the 100m in 11 sec and the 200 m in 22.03 sec.
Kenisha Pascal of Track Blazers finished 1st in the 1500m.
Neil Peters who represented Schaper Stunners won the 100 metres in a time of 10.99 sec. and finished 2nd in the 200m in 22.17 sec.
Adaim Peters of ACE Track Club finished 3rd in both the 100 and 200 metre events.
Nichioner George also of ACE Track Club was the lone female competitor in the female Long Jump with a distance of 22.34 metres.
The Relay team of Kyle Gibson, Neil Peters, Nathaniel Mark and Adam Peters won the 4 x 100 meters in 42.00 sec and the 4 x 400 metre events.
