GRENADIANS HOLDING OUT HOPES FOR A KIRANI VICTORY IN THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 400 FINAL

Grenadians The World over will be watching the stadium in Budapest, Hungary, particularly tomorrow, for the classic show of the 400-metre final, in the World Athletic Championships, where the Nation’s wonder-boy, Kirani James will be engaged.

Kirani, coming from a win in his heat, and yesterday placing second in the semi-final, with a time of 44.58 seconds, is destined for World greatness as he’s accustomed to.

Grenadians will be watching with much anticipation.

In case you missed it, this is how Kirani’s semi-final went.

Kirani will be running out of lane 4 tomorrow.

He’ll be up against Wayde Van Niekerk, who’ll be in lane 2 ; Norway Havard Bent-dal Ing-vald-sen vof Norway in lane 3, In lane 5 is Matthew Hudeson-Smith of Great Britain; Quincy Hall of the USA in 6 ; Jamaica’s Antonio Watson in lane 7; Vernon Norwood in lane 8 and lane 9 Jamaica’s Sean Bailey.

Dexter Mitchell, the man who’s usually been documenting Kirani’s performances over the years, is hopeful the jaguar will do his best for the glory of it all.

Dexter says Grenadians must be proud of what the country’s athletic ambassador has to offer.
