Strike action called off and Grenlec workers resume duties!
This is as much we can tell you about the impasse between the Electricity Company and TAWU over the strike action taken last Monday over the dismissal of two workers.
Grenlec released a dispatch this afternoon informing its customers that employees have returned to work today 6 March 2025, and normal service has resumed.
Grenlec is thanking the offices of the Labour Commissioner and Minister for Labour for their assistance to the parties over the past two days.
On this basis, GRENLEC says the intervention allowed them to achieve agreement about the way forward regarding the trade dispute and brought an end to the strike action.
