Six of the Nation’s Secondary schools will tomorrow participate in the 2024 Drum Festival.
And, we hear, there’s much excitement in store.
The competition, organized by the Ministry of Culture, will be at the Roy St. John playing field, where the nation’s schools will be vying for the title “Drum Fest Champions 2024”.
Grenville Secondary school is back in competition after several years away from the event.
Wee FM News spoke with Leeshawn Charles a Teacher at the Grenville secondary school who stated that the students there have been working hard in preparation for the big day.
Last year, J.W. Fletcher CatholicSecondary and St. David’s Catholic Secondary tied for first place.
However, J.W. Fletcher Catholic Secondary will not be participating this year, leaving St. David’s Catholic Secondary to defend the championship.
