Head Of FROC Sees Covid-19 As A Wake-Up Call For Grenada

The Grenada economy is focusing on the direction of recovery, on account of drawbacks and challenges fuelled by the global COVID pandemic, which, in the pipeline, placed a damper on operations.

A brief analysis of the report of the Fiscal Responsibility Oversight Committee (FROC), has been presented.

Head of FROC, Dr. Angus Friday, says COVID-19 brought about unexpected downturns and as Grenada looks towards economic recovery, there are still challenges of downside risks.

Looking at fiscal targets, the wage bill, the primary balance, public debt and growth rate, for the medium term, Dr. Friday had this to say.

The FROC Chairman noted that COVID-19 has been a wake-up call for Grenada, especially where diversification approaches are concerned.
