HEALTH MINISTRY STEPS UP PUBLIC EDUCATION AND VECTOR CONTROL INTERVENTIONS AMID DENGUE OUTBREAK

In relations to the current outbreak of Dengue fever on island, the Ministry of Health is continuing on its education binge in an effort to reduce the incidence of the disease and other mosquito-borne infection. 

According to data from the ministry there are currently seventy positive cases of Dengue Fever in Grenada a slight decrease from previous records.

During this morning’s programme “The Next Chapter” with host Keville Frederick, Acting Senior Environmental Health Officer with Responsibility for Vector Control Awanee Nedd is reminding citizens to be vigilant in ensuring their surroundings are free of mosquito-breeding sites.

 Nedd says the Vector Control Division of the Ministry of health will continue to do its part control the virus.
