Christians are today celebrating the Feast of All Saints, a Christian solemn occasion observed in honor of all the saints of the church known and unknown, deemed to have attained heaven.

The custom falls in line with Christian tradition where the nation’s cemeteries will be lit with candles at gravesides, as families and friends pay reverence to those who have taken up their place in the Great Beyond.

Head of the Diocese of St. George’s in Grenada Bishop Clyde Harvey speaking of the significance of the occasion reminds all that the goal on this earth is life with God forever.

Bishop Harvey says the church is there to influence people to do good, reminding those who are alive to live as children of God and pray for each other.
