With the spike in covid-19 cases in Grenada, we hear that the hospital is once again being challenged with members of staff being infected, which places ample strain on services, with staff shortage.
Acting Director of Medical Services, Dr. Tyiesha Donald, is appealing for public patience and consideration in the circumstances.
Some 32 nurses and 16 physicians, along with auxiliary staff have come down with the virus.

In terms of the current situation Dr. Donald noted that some changes have been made with clinics and surgeries.
At Clinics, the numbers needing attention have been cut back to ten persons to each clinic, and priority will be placed on urgent situations.
