HUNTING SEASON CLOSED

In case you missed it, as of yesterday January 1, 2024, the Ministry of Agriculture,  Lands, Fisheries and Cooperatives has sent out notice that the hunting season is officially closed.

According to the release the season will remain closed until September 30, 2024.  

Animals that CANNOT be hunted during the closed period are Manicou, Tatou, Monkey, Iguana and the Ramier also known as the (Scaly-naped Pigeon).

The Ministry cautions that hunting during the CLOSED season carries a penalty of $1,000.00 (one thousand dollars) or a term of six (6) months imprisonment.

The general public is asked to be guided accordingly.
