The sister Isle of Petite Martinique this morning conducted a military parade and rally on the occasion of Grenada’s 50th Independence Anniversary.

The military parade highlighted various departments of the Royal Grenada Police Force.

The parade and rally were attended by delegates from mainland Grenada, including Governor General, Dame Cecile La Grenade, and Prime Minister, Dickon Mitchell, and officials from the administration of the Sister Isles as well as residents and students. 

Minister for Carriacou and Petite Martinique, Hon. Tevin Andrews, emphasizes that the 50th anniversary of Independence is more than just a moment for celebration; he says it’s also a time to lay the foundation for a stronger and more resilient Grenada.

Prime Minister Hon. Dickon Mitchell, addressing the military parade and rally today, emphasizes that despite our diverse backgrounds, we must stand as one people united by shared purpose and vision for a brighter future inGrenada.
