Condolences continue pouring in to the family and friends of media practitioner, Beverly Sinclair, who passed away in her home country in Jamaica last week-end.

Beverly who worked in media circles here has been a familiar face with many groups and societal organizations.

The latest outpouring of sympathy comes from the Inter-Agency Group of Development Organization (IAGDO) which regards Beverly as a stalwart in the service of the Nation and the wider region.

Working in the media here, IAGDO in a statement, says she exemplified professionalism and fearlessness in the practice of her discipline and was a mentor to many young, aspiring journalists.

In 2016, it says she became very interested in the work of civil society organizations in respect of public education and the proposed Constitution Reform and that interest was sustained and post Elections 2018, she was a founding member of the civil society organization, Independent Caucus for Constitution Reform.

Beverly was one of the hosts on its media programmes, facilitating public awareness and education on Grenada’s constitution and critically examining proposed legislation and policies in the context of Grenada’s Supreme Law.

The presence of the Caucus was said to have been felt during the challenging years of the COVID-19 pandemic, where COVID-19 legislation in the framework of Grenada’s Constitution was examined.

IAGDO remembers Beverly and says it’s been also grateful for her support of its National Round Table on the 2018 CARICOM Commission Report on Marijuana, held in collaboration with the Conference of Churches Grenada in January 2021.
