International Womens’ Club Celebrates 50 Years In Grenada

Today marks the fiftieth anniversary, the golden jubilee celebration of Soroptimist International Grenada.

Soroptimist, the “Best of Sisters”, is dedicated to improve the lives and status of women and girls through education, empowerment or enabling opportunities.”

We have been informed that the St. Andrew chapter was due to be launched today to mark the 50^th anniversary celebration of the organization but that was postponed due to circumstances surrounding COVID-19 and corresponding restrictions.

President of Soroptimist International Grenada, Shaqhi Cornwall, says the club was engaged in a ceremonial planting of one hundred trees.
