The National Water and Sewerage Authority (NAWASA) advises consumers in the following areas of interruptions in the water supply on Sunday July 12th, 2020.
Scott Street, Green Street, H.A. Blaize Street, the Carenage and surrounding areas between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.;
Mt. Moritz, Calabash Alley and surrounding areas between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.; and
Annandale, New Hampshire and surrounding areas between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Consumers are therefore encouraged to collect and store water in clean, covered containers, prior to the scheduled interruption in supply.
Please also advised that although the system will be reopened at 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. respectively; consumers in elevated areas, may not receive their supply until within two (2) hours after the scheduled restoration period.
In addition, as a result of repairs along Scott Street, Young Street will be closed to vehicular traffic between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
Motorists are also advised that there may be delays in the flow of traffic along the Mt. Moritz Main Road, in the vicinity of Rose Cottage and Freedom Street between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., and in New Hampshire in the vicinity of the small falls and the bridge between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Motorists are therefore encouraged to use alternative routes to get to their various destinations.
